Fishing Nelson’s Spring Creek

The Spring Creeks of Paradise Valley are world renowned for their prolific hatches, large fish, and year round season. Nelson’s offers 3/4 mile of private water, limited to 6 anglers per day. Limiting the number of anglers per day spreads the pressure out, and ensures a quality fishing experience. We are renowned for our crystal-clear water, healthy trout, epic hatches, and technical fishing. For die-hard anglers, Nelson’s is a must visit.

Incredible Hatches

The spring fed nature of Nelson’s Spring Creek means consistent flow and water temp year round. These combine to create an incredible habitat for both trout and insect life. The famous hatches of Montana and Paradise Valley are a sight to behold on our private water.

Limited Access

We limit the number of anglers on the creek every day to six. This alleviates heavy pressure on the creek and makes for a more pleasurable experience for anglers and fish. You’ll never feel pressured on Nelson’s!

Year Round Fishery

The consistent water temp lets us fish year round, easily. The creek doesn’t ice up in the winter, and during the hot summer months it never gets too hot as to affect fish mortality.

What people are saying about fishing Nelson’s Spring Creek.

“Staff very friendly and helpful. Great stream, lots of fish, a great technical challenge for all individuals who fly fish.”

— Andrew H., Google Review

“There is very little one can say about Nelson’s Spring Creek that will do it complete justice.   It must be experienced.  Every aspect; from lodging, to fly shop and guides, and the fishing (of course) is truly authentic and without comparison. The Nelson family has always been extraordinarily  warm and inviting, even when I show up to fish chattering like an overly excited child at Christmas.  Above all else, as a premier fly fishing destination in North America, it is as true and honest a fly angling experience as one can find.  I cherish every second I am able to spend there. 5 Stars.”
